A common theme with my work throughout these three years has been closely linked to my desire to help people. With each brief, I invisioned a bigger picture, tackling life threatening issues, such as climate change.
The following are a selection of designs of the course for a variation of briefs, consisting of 3D Models, Logo redesign and supporting imagry.
Design Context: Skyscraper
For this module, I took on the challange of dealing with the issue of Water Scarcity and Global Warming. Through extensive research on the matter, I designed a skyscraper that produces rain, clouds and drinking water as a natural response to the issue. Below is some of the imagry I created to support the concept.
The goal for this idea, was to retain the important natural elements missing today, such as the instance of desertification. Amongst the 'rain' feature of the building, I implemented surrounding greenspace, to produce further natural benefits to the land. The drinking water system runs from the skyscraper through to multiple points in the country.
The skyscraper is situated in Bahrain, one of the most polluted countries with one of the worst air quality, also at risk of a water crisis.
Design Things
This module required us to think to the future and create future technologies backed up by a new world. I created Babelphish, a language translating ear piece based on RTT (Real Time Translation Technology)
As a part of this new technology, I created artefacts to support the product and the world it has formed as a result. As shown here, I constructed a brand, backed up by a Manual, Advertisements and a newspaper to explain addional features and the possible reprecussions this new technology might cause.
Design Visualisation
High Street Re-Design brief; 'Shopping Hub'
Located in the city of Derry, the idea for this concept was to have a large communal shopping center for purchases and pick ups. Customers can either shop in person or shop online for their products, which are all delivered to this central location for pick up.
