This short film was the final production of the five students in Group 14 in LICA 447 (Short Film Production). Through the utilisation of long takes, fixed shots, and cuts between coloured and black-and-white frames, this work provides its audience with a private moment to meditate and reflect upon the modes and values of communication in close relationships.
The story starts with the protagonist: Yuko, walking along the beach alone. As she walks. Yuko seemingly enters a world made up of her subsconscious dreams and the difficult choices that are haunting her. In this place, Yuko walks among its inhabitants like a ghost with nobody noticing her presence. Through this, Yuko is able to directly face issues about communication and intimate relationships. As Yuko moves forward, she successively meets three groups of people who have had troubles in communicating with their lovers, or relatives. Through listening to the heartfelt and often intense dialogue between them, Yuko discovers a way to understand and develop her own reationship with her boyfriend, and aspires to improve their relationship by comunicating more. Meanwhile, the story also questions the viewers: How do you regard the necessity and mode of communication?
