Kayley takes inspiration from Jorge Macchi, Adam Broomberg, Oliver Chanarin and Korakrit Arunanondchai as she creates her pieces which stemmed for the idea of a sense of place. Her work is a contrast on how a sense of place is based on time and motion.
Through this, her pieces take inspiration from how a person spends most of their time traveling/ moving, with moments that cause them to stand still. Moments that would stand out to them, that will make up their life. Like those with family and friends. Through both her film photography and a video installation, she portrays a busyness to the world from contrasting different speeds of motion and travel through video and stills.
